Multiple Grammy award-winning singer and performer Angelique Kidjo has joined several thousands of people around the world to mourn renowned Afro-jazz star Manu Dibango.
In a video chanced on by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, Angelique Kidjo is seen with the late Manu Dibango as they rehearse Soul Makossa just months ago.
Angelique Kidjo then went ahead to describe Manu Dibango as “the original Giant of African Music and a beautiful human being”

The musician died Tuesday, March 24, 2020, a few days after being admitted to hospital suffering from the coronavirus, his official Facebook page said.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce you the loss of Manu Dibango, our Papy Groove, who passed away on 24th of March 2020, at 86 years old, further to covid 19”, announced a press release on his Facebook page official.
