Currently trending at number 1 on YouTube in Ghana is Shatta Wale’s Ahodwo Las Vegas; a project that features seven amazing talents from Kumasi.
For many who have wondered why the said the video is currently sitting on Shatta Wale’s channel alone although an earlier plan would have seen it on the various channels of the artists, there is a good reason.
Ghanaian rap sensation Derrick Sarfo Kantanka otherwise known as Amerado has shared an insight into that.
In an exclusive interview on BTM Afrika with NY DJ, Amerado revealed Shatta Wale gave the seven featured artists the opportunity to upload the official video to their individual channels but they declined and asked him to keep it on his channel.
“I remember telling Shatta Wale on TV it’s not a good move to have the seven of us upload the video directly to our various channels since we have very few subscribers compared to his. We are not even much concerned about the revenue he might generate but rather exposure he is giving us so we build our careers from”, he said.
Shot in the various hoods of the seven artists, the song features Amerado, Phaize, Kweku Flick, Phrimpong, Kofi Jamar, King Paluta and Ypee.
