Ahead of the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheduled for Saturday, May 6th May 2023 at Grand Arena (Accra International Conference Center), The Church of Pentecost is rallying for support for its Deaconness Piesie Esther.
In a post shared on Facebook, the church admonished its members to vote massively for the musician who has been nominated in 7 different categories.
Piesie Esther secured nominations including Best Artiste of the Year, Best Gospel Artiste of the Year, Best Gospel Song of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, Best Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Music Video of the Year and Best Songwriter of the Year
The church called on its members to rally behind “our sister and daughter and help her bring these awards home!”
This is not the first time The Church of Pentecost has rallied behind its member in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
In 2021, the church did the same for Diana Antwi Hamilton who eventually won the ultimate Artist of the Year title.
Piesie Esther currently faces tough competition from Kweku The Traveller hitmaker Black Sherif over the Artist of The Year title.
Despite the heavy support from the Christian community, Black Sheriff believes he is destined to win the Ultimate.
