“Life was a classroom for me. The street taught me something, music taught me something, failure taught me something, success taught me something… and my mistakes taught me some of the most expensive lessons of all. I am not perfect,” Shatta Wale shared.

Addressing an audience—complete with academic leadership and students—the outspoken musician touched on why he often takes a fierce stance when challenges arise. “I know sometimes I do some things… but sometimes when the fight comes, you need to fight it the hard way,” he explained.
