Nominees for the 2020 Mercury Prize have been announced.
The list includes Michael Kiwanuka, Stormzy and a number of others.
KIWANUKA’ is not only Michael Kiwanuka‘s third studio album but also his third Shortlisted album!
Heavy Is The Head is Stormzy’s second album and his second time appearing on the Hyundai Mercury Prize Shortlist. He appeared on the Shortlist in 2017 and was on the judging panel last year!
The Hyundai Mercury Prize ‘Albums of the Year’ celebrate and promote the best of British and Irish music recognising artistic achievement across a range of contemporary music genres.
The overall winner of the 2020 Hyundai Mercury Prize will be announced on Thursday 10 September at the Awards Show, which will be held at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
