Nominations and awards are no problem for Ghanaian rap artist Sarkodie as he remains the country’s most decorated musician of all time.
Despite this, the excitement generated among his following at the announcement of new nominations for awards or endorsements is one that cannot be overemphasized.
Ahead of the official release of his anticipated The Highest album, Sarkodie has been nominated for the 2017 Ghana Music Honours.
He grabs three (3) nominations including the most prestigious People’s Choice Artist Honour, Hiplife Artist Honour and Best Male Artist Honour.
Established in 2012, the Ghana Music Honours is an award scheme where musicians are honoured by an academy of peers.
The 2017 edition has 20 honours which will be decided upon by the academy.
