The remains of the late Pop-Gospel singer, Kefee (Irikefe Don-Momoh nee Obareki), who passed away on June 12, 2014 will be laid to rest on Friday, July 11th in her hometown of Okpara-Inland, Ethiope East LGA of Delta State.
According to a statement from her publicist, Kefee’s husband, Teddy Don-Momoh, who has been making arrangements to bring her body back from the U.S., will arrive in the country first to receive her body before taking her down to Delta State for burial.
Teddy had earlier indicated that his wife’s family had requested that she be buried in their hometown, with a celebratory service in Sapele afterwards and he was comfortable with the arrangement.
Kefee Obareki Don-Momoh died in a hospital in the United States.
Her music career reportedly began at the age of eight when she sang in a church choir.
