As her daughter continues to fly the flag for Rap in today’s Pop arena, Carol Maraj – mother of Nicki Minaj– has set her sights on the world of Gospel, launching a career she hopes will help and inspire those she seeks to help most. 
Now an ambassador for the charitable non profit organisation ‘United Colours of Fashion’, Saturday November 23rd will see Maraj headline the ‘God’s Been Good’ concert at the St.Anthony Baptist Church, NYC.
Priced at $35, tickets for the uplifting show can be purchased on the door, and will see the Trinidadian vocalist use her unique ascent to fame to raise awareness for the social causes she continues to support via the ‘Carol Maraj Foundation‘.
A foundation, that not only raises money for HIV/AIDS awareness but has also joined the fight against domestic violence, issues both mother and daughter have gone to great lengths to raise awareness for her- after battling the latter during Minaj’s formative years.
