There seems to be a battle over the signature of Collins Atta Poku.
Sports presenter with Kessben Media, Collins Atta Poku may be on his way out if what we gather is anything to go by.
Reports reaching Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture And Urban Entertainment News -www.nydjlive.com indicates that the sports presenter is on the verge of joining Multimedia Group’s Nhyira FM.
The move, we gather will be a sort of reunion with close friends Kwabena Afriyie Obeng (OB Trice of Silver FM) and Bismark Owusu Bempah (Ayala of Adehye FM) should he leave the Aseda House based media outfit.
Inside sources tell www.nydjlive.com that Nhyira FM are doing everything possible to replace the departing Samuel and Richard Acheampong as well as Christian Adusei and have identified the trio (Collins Atta Poku, Kwabena Afriyie Obeng and Bismark Owusu Bempah) as not only adequate replacements but a real statement of intent of how competitive they want to be.
It is believed that talks between Multimedia Group and the three are very advanced and Atta Poku has verbally
informed his bosses of his intent to leave.
However, management of Kessben Media are unwilling to lose Atta Poku and have told him in no uncertain terms that they will not grant him his desire to leave. A position strongly held by Mr. Kwabena Kesse and Joe Lakka, who both see him as integral part of what they are doing currently.
It is understood that they have dismissed the possibility of accepting a formal resignation letter as well.
Multimedia Group on the other hand believe they have done enough to convince Atta Poku the Sports Bishop, OB Trice and Ayala to join them.
As it stands, NYDJ Live believes the three former Metro FM guys will be reunited to work with Bright Kankam Boadu at Nhyira FM next month barring any last-minute twist.
