Upcoming Ghanaian rap artist Okyere Fred Acheamfo, popularly known as Jay Wilder has been crowned the winner of the Orijin Untamed regional auditions held in Kumasi.
The event which took place on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Kumasi City Mall saw several individuals including musicians, artists put their talents on display with the intent of winning the GHC8000 prize package.
Starting off with freestyles and performances on selected instrumentals and finally to selected themes about Orijin and Orijin Untamed, the talents put their A games to the test yet only one person could be crowned the winner.
As a winner, Jay Wilder together with the first runner-up will be representing the region with hopes of annexing the ultimate GHC80,000 in the grand final scheduled for December 1, 2023, in James Town, Accra.
An excited Jay Wilder expressed appreciation to the organizers, Orijin and his fans for their support.

Judges for the event included James Mensah (PapJay – YFM Kumasi), Nana Osei-Kesse (Mr Bonez – Kessben Media), Denswag Tubhani Muzak (Music producer) and
The event was hosted by David Germain aka Portfolio.
Speaking at the event, the Marketing Manager for Spirits & RTDs at Guinness Ghana, Yaa Amoah-Owusu, explained the idea behind the auditions. She said;
“Orijin Untamed is a platform that essentially allows our lovely consumers to be able to unearth themselves and we are focused on music, arts, and spoken word. It’s important to highlight the areas we are focused on are very grey areas that nobody is really supporting in this country but Orijin as a brand is very original in the things we do hence venturing into these areas that are not really getting the support.”
