Ghanaian music star Camidoh has revealed that he has never been signed to a major record label and has always worked as an independent artist.
Contrary to what many believed to be a label deal with GB Records in 2020, the musician who recently released a remix to his hit single NLF (Breakfast) revealed he has been an independent artist all along.
Camidoh made the shocking revelation by saying;
“I’ve always been an independent artist. It’s not about now. I’ve never been signed to a major label. You can always distribute with people but that doesn’t make you like a signed artist to a label. I’ve been doing my thing.”
He was responding to a question on the difficulties of working as an independent artist.
He however wished every artist would have that phase in their music careers so they could pick an experience along the journey.
Camidoh made these known in an interview with NY DJ on Y102.5 FM in Kumasi.
