WATCH: Ghanaians Want To Box Me But I Won’t Make It Happen – Yaw TOG

  • Any attempt to limit the creative prowess of Yaw TOG would not hold as the musician doesn’t want to be boxed.

Noted for his major breakthrough single Sore, Ghanaian music star Yaw TOG says he won’t allow himself to be boxed by Ghanaians.

The musician who has been tagged by many as a drill artist thanks in part to his monster hit single Sore, believes it is quite wrong for anyone to tag him as such since he continues to explore different sounds which was quite evident on his debut EP “My Time“.

Speaking in an interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM, the musician revealed saying;

“One thing Ghanaians don’t really notice…I don’t know if they really listened to my EP. It wasn’t only drill music. There were different genres. They are trying to box me but I won’t make that happen. I do create different music and I need to explore…” he said.

Yaw TOG also responded to dealing with social media trolls. He revealed the trolls don’t get to him as he believes it is a “game”.

“The trolls don’t really get to me because I know this is a game. They can’t meet me in person and tell that to my face” he said.

Yaw TOG recently released a new single Sophia which sees the artist flex muscles with his singing skills.
