Ahead of the Black Star Line Festival on January 6, 2022, at the Blackstar Square in Accra, Ghana, organizers have announced a list of events including A Conversation With Dave Chappelle.
Scheduled for the University of Ghana Legon between 3 and 6 pm on Thursday, January 5, a number of outstanding Ghanaian comedians including OB Amponsah and Lekzy DeComic have already expressed interest in opening for the star.
Sharing a flyer to the event via his social media, Comedian OB Amponsah wrote;

In a similar fashion, fellow comedian Lekzy De Comic also took to Twitter and prayed the organizers to consider Ghanaian comedians for the event.
He wrote; “It’ll be an honour to see a few of us if not all jump on stage with the big man.. I’ve got some 10 to 20min solid set to share though so whoever can make it happen for the guys should please make it happen.”

It is immediately unknown what form the event will take as details pertaining to the event are scanty. However, details on the website suggest multiple ticket orders exceeding one (1) will be revoked and cancelled.
Named after an early 20th-century shipping line created by Jamaican activist Marcus Garvey, the Black Star Line Festival is curated by Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa and will see performances from Chance himself, Erykah Badu, T Pain, Jeremih, Sarkodie, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys, M.anifest and fellow Chicago-born hip-hop artist Vic Mensa.
