Ama K. Abebrese, John Dumelo and others nominated for Africa Film Development Awards 2013

Beautiful and sassy Ghanaian actress Ama K Abebrese, Time100 inductee Omotola J. Ekeinde and Philantropist John Dumelo have all been nominated in the upcoming Africa Film Development Awards 2013. The feminine duo were both nominated for the Best African Actress whereas John was nominated for the Best African Actor in Supporting role category.  afda a

The Awards which is to be held on June 29 2013 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania aims at marking a reawakening of the need for African sensitive film making ventures. It will also further such sentiments in Diaspora Africa film making projects from concept to exhibition practices.

Africa Film Development Awards “In the spirit of Africa”,  will run through Lectures/Symposium on African Cinema, June 28; African Cultural Night also on June 28 and Awards/Gala Night on the 29th. The awards after party will be on June 30 at Zanzibar Island.
