Veteran Ghanaian recording engineer and record producer Emmanuel Mallet popularly known as Zapp Mallet has waded into incessant ‘beefs’ by Ghanaian musicians.
In a cryptic message shared on Facebook, the producer seeks answers to why musicians would concentrate on ‘beef’ when their music hardly makes an impact.
“Your beefs are more engaging than your music. Are you a butcher or an artist?” he asks.
Expectant of what the like response to his comment may be, the producer credited for his contribution to the creation of the popular music genre hiplife said; “Me just throw me corn, me na call no fowl”
Over the past few years, many Ghanaian musicians have been involved in one beef or the other; events that hardly stay relevant beyond a month.
Currently on such a trail are Ghanaian dancehall artists Shatta Wale and Samini who have been at each other’s throat on social media all day.
