Official communication from Accra based official radio station for The Young and The Young at heart Y107.9FM, a subsidiary of the Global Media Alliance indicates the station would engage on a three day temporary shut down of transmission to help carry out some maintenance checks to help with a better transmission.

The station therefore cuts transmission from Friday November 23rd 2013 to Tuesday November 26th 2013, a move which has caused many listeners of the station to register their displeasure. However, management of the station has asked listeners to bear with them as the maintenance works would rather help to serve them better.
