The film focuses on the period after a 1976 assassination attempt on Marley, as he prepares to return to Jamaica in 1978 for the One Love Peace Concert.
It celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.
The movie stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, who learned to play the guitar for the movie, in the titular role, with Lashana Lynch (of No Time to Die) as Rita Marley.
Bob Marley: One Love is due in theatres on Friday, January 12, 2024.
The reggae legend’s son Ziggy, daughter Cedella, and widow, Rita, produced the film alongside Robert Teitel.
