Ghana’s rising 800m star Martha Bissah has won gold at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing,China.
The teenager ran an impressive lifetime best of 2:04.90 to win ahead of Ethiopia’s Negeri Hawi Alem and Germany’s Kallis Mareen.
The medal caps a successful few weeks for Bissah who is making her debut on the senior circuits this season and is one a talented group of athletes coming through in Ghana.
