Renowned Ghanaian actor Alex Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo finally addressed the media at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi over recent challenges and accusations leveled against him by a section of movie producers and directors in an attempt to “collapse” his career.
He tagged the approach by some of the producers and directors of what has come to stay as “Kumawood” as “Mafia tactics”.
According to the actor, he found it surprising that a group of producers he helped gather wealth would want his downfall and also described as ridiculous speculations that he charged over GHC15,000 for a movie.
“Honestly, I don’t charge more than GHC6,000, so I find it a bit ridiculous. Let any producer own up and disclose when I ever charged that amount…..Even if I charge that amount, is it overrated? These same producers cast Nigerian actors and actresses and pay them more than that”, He stated.
The actor had a lot to say.
