The Video Was Never Meant To Disrespect Ghana – Meek Mill Apologizes

American rap artist Meek Mill has apologized to the good people of Ghana.

The apology comes after the rapper suffered severe backlash online for releasing a music video that had portions of the Jubilee House, the presidential palace which is highly regarded as a security zone.

In a series of tweets, Meek Mill apologized to the office of the President and Ghanaians. He also disclosed the people who led him there did not know the footage was for a music video.

He wrote;

Earlier in the day, the rapper deleted the video after it got the country talking. In the video, the rapper was sighted in different places at the presidency, from the frontage, through the main corridors, in the main conference hall — at a point positioned behind the presidential lectern – and later in a sitting area rapping.
