In the wake of the urgent call for corporate Ghana to support the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana, ‘The Twellium Foundation’, a subsidiary of Twellium Industrial Company Ltd, Ghana, has donated a large number of food items to thousands in Kumasi, the regional capital of the Ashanti Region.
This comes after an earlier donation to the Ghana Police Headquarters, Second Lady Foundation and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The support has been in the way of equipping the front line workers, the security services and to support the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu’s efforts at reaching out to the vulnerable in Kumasi.
The motive behind this gesture is to encourage these essential stakeholders to stay safe because Twellium and the whole nation as whole need our heroes.
So far, these institutions have taken delivery of a forty feet container of Verna water and McBerry London Digestive biscuits, along with undisclosed cash for allowances.
The Komfo Anokye teaching hospital, the Kumasi South (A/R Regional) Hospitals as well as the Regional Police Headquarters(Kumasi) all received forty thousand (40,000) PPEs including masks gloves and overalls.
The hospitals were also given large quantities of bottles of hand sanitizers.
At the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, The Twellium Foundation presented items including thousands of PPEs consisting of over seven thousand (7000) masks and several bottles of hand sanitizers, a forty feet container carrying bottles of the company’s highly patronised Verna water as well as some McBerry London Digestive Biscuits, a new addition to the Twellium family.
In as much as the government and organisations such as Twellium are ensuring the average Ghanaian is safe during this pandemic, we cannot reiterate enough how important it is to abide by the directives given.
Stay home if you’re not an essential staff, always remember to wash your hands with medicated soap and use sanitizers at all times.
Stay safe, you matter.
