Some staff of Kumasi based Solid FM have registered their displeasure at a directive by the new management of the once powerful urban frequency to reapply in order to save their jobs with the outfit.
According to a staff who wished to remain anonymous in an interview with www.nydjlive.com explained happenings at the station keeps getting worse by the day as aside the disrespect shown them by the new management, the office has also turned into an anointing grounds where oil is sprinkled almost every minute, in the name of driving away evil spirits from the office.
“I walked up to the office and the whole place smelled so bad so I wondered what was really happening only to realize the owner was sprinkling anointing oil at every corridor of the office. This is not the first time but has been going on for a while now”, he said.
Speaking on what next, the presenter disclosed the entire on air staff were angry at the directive for them to reapply and have decided not reapply. He also disclosed the new music policy of the station does not even favour most of them.
“The new music policy of the station is such that we only play high life and Gospel music and that is something most of us can’t fit in”
Solid FM has gone through several re-branding processes switching between KFM and its current name.
No management of the station was readily available to speak to us on the issue.
