Kumasi based Prempeh College has been axed from the ongoing National Maths And Science Quiz 2018.
Prempeh College were relegated to the second spot in the semi finals of the competition as West Africa Senior High School beat them to a 7 point margin.
Prempeh College led the contest after the first round by three points with WASS trailing on 23 points, while Krobo girls were 12 points further back.
However, that would not last as West Africa Senior High School would round up the competition with 52 points, Prempeh College came second with 45 points whereas Krobo Girls SHS amassed 29 points to place third.
A fifth trophy therefore is impossible for Prempeh College as the WASS contestants were too much to handle.
Prempeh College exits this year’s National Maths And Science Quiz 2018 alongside their arch rivals Opoku Ware Secondary School who were knocked out earlier by Mawuli SHS.
