CEO of www.nydjlive.com and host of Kumasi based Kapital Radio’s flagship late afternoon musical show, Homestretch Bumper to Bumper, NY DJ took his fans and followers by surprise when he announced last night via his Facebook page that he was done with his former employers and had joined Global Media Alliance, YFM, Kumasi to be precise.
Although bits and pieces of rumours had earlier surfaced via social media that presenter who has been a constant force to reckon with in the Ashanti Region would be leaving the station, fears were heightened especially on Wednesday when he signed out of his show with “M’akra Mo” by Daddy Lumba.
Born Donkoh Ebenezer, NY DJ joined Kapital Radio after a 4 year journey with KNUST’s official radio station Focus FM, where he instantly warmed himself into the hearts of many with his smooth silky voice, thematic song selection and authority he stamped on every show he hosted.
Known for his tight connection with a lot of entertainers from across the world, NY DJ brought a different and fresh meaning to radio entertainment especially in Kumasi which made him out. From hosting all the biggest entertainers on his to show to interview the big people from across the world.
It is yet unknown when he starts work on YFM, Kumasi but be sure to be informed of his next move.
YFM will now operate in a triangular mode as it has YFM Accra, YFM Takoradi and the latest addition YFM, Kumasi.
YFM in Kumasi operates via 102.5FM and is due for launch this month.
