Referred to as the Tim Westwood of Kumasi by Hitz Fm’s Kwame Sakyiamh (Lexis Bill),Kumasi’s darling boy of urban radio and drive time NY DJ has officially hinted of a second year running event to celebrate his birthday. 
The journey to the event dubbed “Shut the City Down II” started last year when the Ashanti regional capital came to a halt as all the showbiz personalities in the city thronged the Neighbours Pub to celebrate with NY DJ. Unlike Accra where the city is always flooded with celebrity birthdays, NY DJ seems to be gradually putting the shine on the city.
With special appearances from Ghanaian female hiphop act Lousika, Kojo CUE, Mz-Fu, DJ Skrach the Cut Master of Sniper Squad DJS, music producer Peweezle and so many radio personalities, the event went down as one of the best celebrity birthday parties single handedly organized in the city and NY DJ discloses this year’s event will have special appearances and will blow people’s minds.
