No More Stunts, Y’all Didn’t Deserve That – E.L. Apologizes To Fans

Ghanaian rap star Elom Adablah also known as E.L. will not pull any stunts again.

The rapper who recently pulled one in an interview stating that he worked as a delivery man just to make ends meet during his stay in the United States has apologized to his fans for the lie.

In a post on X, the rapper admitted to doing too many things but was particularly sorry for lying to his fans in that interview.

He also promised not to go on that tangent again.

Background

In April 2023, the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year, in an interview on 3Music TV stated that there was a point he had to work as a food delivery guy in the US just to keep himself going.

He added that his experience in the United States taught him the importance of humility.

“Time teaches you so many valuable lessons and it changes you, especially when you go through a few things. I’ve passed through it before. There was a point in time in the States when I had to start doing food delivery. Yeah, it was that deep. I delivered food door to door just to keep myself going,” he disclosed in the interview.

Months later, the rapper admitted he lied just for attention.

In an interview on Hitz FM, E.L. revealed that the story about him working as a food delivery guy in the US was a lie, adding that he said that to gain attention.

E.L. confessed that the story was just for the trends which yielded some positive results for him. He further added that he had intentions of doing something like that but never worked as a delivery guy.

The one-time Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year explained by saying;

”Andy let me be very honest with you be my bro that whole thing ebi agenda we dey do. I no for do that thing but it’s one of those things. In the spur of the moment sometimes you get carried away. It was more like an attention grab and I shouldn’t have done it. It was also influenced by some people around me. I was fresh off the flight and I wanted to get something trending and it did trend.”

The rapper took the opportunity of the interview to apologise to his fans and loved ones for the publicity stunt.
