It is no news that Nigerian starboy Wizkid has become the toast of many Ghanaian music lovers, a craze Ghanaian music group 4×4 has lamented on and called for a swift change for Ghanaian DJ’s and presenters to focus on helping push their own than music from elsewhere.
Although this call is not the first from many Ghanaian artists, Captain Planet, a member of the group has gone ahead to cite The Matter hit maker Wizkid in one of their new songs titled Tonight in more or less a derogatory way. Read the line from the new song;
I pay enter with my kid schools fees… I want hear my song u dey play wizkid …so change n play me ‘u go kill me’ else you go chop some slaps wey you go feel me.
This goes to show how far he as Captain Planet will go to make sure Ghanaian songs are played instead of Nigerian songs as he in the line quoted above indicates he prefers his own song or that of Sarkodie to Wizkid.
The question is, Why Wizkid but just as stated in the first line of this story, he is the toast of many music lovers in Ghana at the moment.
Watch video during album launch and listen to a preview of the song.
