Outspoken Ghanaian musician and social activist Kwame A Plus has described popular lawyer Dr. Maurice Ampaw as “dumb”.
This comes hours after the lawyer whose popularity soared during Ghana’s Supreme Court hearing of the 2012 election petition in an interview disclosed he had enough evidence to the whereabouts of Ghanaian hiplife artist Castro who went missing with a female friend at the Peace Resorts in Ada during a jet ski and would make them available at the end of September. In a post on Facebook, A Plus who perhaps seemed shocked at the Lawyers utterances stated;
“This Lawyer Ampaw did he attend law school at Makola? He is so dumb. Like very very dumb….”
Asked why he would describe the learned fellow as “dumb” as it sounded very harsh, A Plus in an interview with www.nydjlive.com disclosed although the said person has studied law, he seems to be on the look for hype more than practising what he studied.
“This may be because of my encounter with other renowned lawyers. They don’t behave like that and you don’t need to shout to make your arguments tangible”
Making reference to a conclusive statement Lawyer Ampaw made on Asamoah Gyan’s relationship with Janet Bandu on Peace FM Wednesday September 10 2014, A Plus believes the lawyer’s comments are unfounded and must be disregarded. “Why do you conclude that the girls shared the same rooms with the guys just becasue the rooms cost so much?”
“I think the police does not even regard him because this is an issue of national interest and as a lawyer…………. The first people to furnish with such an information will be the police and not on a radio discusion, I think he’s just in for a hype.”
