At the declaration of Ryan Korsah as winner of the Vodafone Icons Street Edition, Kumasi came alive as entertainment pundits and loyal followers of the show in one way or the other took to social networking sites Facebook, Twitter and many others to express their joy and satisfaction as they described it as reincarnation of the lost glory. 
Many who had canvassed for votes and supported him from the start of the program believed it was time for Kumasi to regain its dominion over the Ghanaian music industry and were therefore not astonished he was declared the eventual winner.
Speaking to a well renowned entertainment pundit and music producer based in Kumasi who would want to remain anonymous, he disclosed it was welcoming news as Oseikrom was gradually taking back the shine in music as all such major competitions have been won by musicians from Kumasi.
He however found it very disturbing with the pronouncements and allegations by Kwaw Kese and stated Kwaw Kese’s brother Budda was no better than Ryan. He further stated he believed Kwaw Kese went on the rant because of sour grips and advised Ryan to remain unperturbed as Kumasi was solidly behind him.
Ryan in an exclusive interview with www.nydjlive.com thanked Ghana for the massive support and in a separate appreciation expressed his gratitude to the good people of Kumasi who supported him through thick and thin and promised never to disappoint them.
Ryan has so far been praise by many entertainment pundits on various radio shows in Kumasi and declared their support for him and his music career.
