Kaakie’s zero nomination at BASS Awards 2014 explained

Danechall Queen Kaakie is one of the few dancehall and reggae artists whose names were missing from the list of nominees for this year’s edition of the BASS Awards but it comes as no surprise to her team according to her publicist Elorm Beenie who made this known in an exclusive interview with NY DJ on the Kapital Entertainment Unplugged Show.

According to him, Kaakie did not possess songs which were strong enough to be filed for the awards as she had been busy with academic work for her final year in school.

According to Elorm, the team did not find it necessary to file nominations as they had too many things on their hands for the year under review.

“You remember we were so busy with the Kaakit Up Tour which was very involving so we didn’t push out so many songs which were strong enough and to add up to it, Kaakie was busy working on her project in school and I can announce to you that Kaakie now holds a BSC Degree in Nursing (Midwifery), from University of Ghana, Legon”.

This goes to explain why Kaakie has been missing in the dancehall game that has seen very great talents explode over the past one year.

Congrats girl and I hope to have more of you after your first degree. (Don’t get it twisted when I say I want to have more of her, lol, Scatta Badmind).
