“Internet Fraud Is Hurting Us More Than It Is Helping Us” – M.I. Abaga Supports Simi

Nigerian rapper Jude Abaga has thrown her weight behind fellow musician Simi in a call against internet fraud by Nigerians.

Simi in an Instagram video begged individuals involved in internet fraud to desist from it as she outlined the countless devastating effects it had on Nigeria in general.

The singer revealed that she’s hurt that despite the number of people fighting against Cyber crime, people are still doing their best to spoil the name of the country hence hindering people’s growth because they’re so many counties who wouldn’t want to do business with Nigerians because of the track record of internet fraud.

Do you know how many Nigerians go for business meetings or just to even get the smallest opportunity for themselves to make it and they leave with nothing because they’re Nigerians, that is the only excuse that they get. “sorry we cannot work with Nigerians”

Simi opened up that she cannot watch an issue like this continue to go wrong and keep quiet. In her words “I care and I’m not passive.” and if talking will make you stop listening to her music, the singer says she doesn’t care as she doesn’t expect people to like her or listen to her songs if what she has to say about cybercrime affects them that much.

This did not sit well with a number of people who came at her but rapper M.I. Abaga believes internet fraud is ‘hurting’ Nigerians more than it is ‘helping’ them. He applauded Simi for her courage and “fortitude for speaking out on what” she believes in.

In the spirit of uplifting our Queens.. @symplysimi I applaud your courage and your fortitude for speaking out on what you believe!!! The truth is that the scourge of internet fraud is hurting us more than it is helping us.. and please don't misunderstand.. this country is so hard that I judge no man because I am imperfect. But we must not attack those that remind us of what we should be.. that energy is for us to vote.. us to speak out against our elected officials.. and for us to do a better job at lifting all young Nigerians so that they never have to turn away from righteousness to provide food to eat. We may be forced to eat with dirty hands.. but it doesn't mean we should piss in clean water 🙏🏾
