Ghanaian hiplife artist Guru has signed legendary high life singer Ofori Amponsah.
In a short notice announcing the introduction of the Otoolege hit maker to the label, Guru wrote; “Mr.All4real welcome to NkZ Music 🔥”
Ofori Amponsah had earlier denounced his love for high life music and ventured into evangelism thereby establishing a church.
Details of the signing is immediately unknown but we understand it could be a minimum of 3 years.
NKZ Music is home to musicians including Guru, Wutah, King Paluta, Singlet and a few others.
In March 2018, Ofori Amponsah who had again ventured into highlife music despite denouncing it some years earlier stated in an interview with Delay on the Delay Show stated that he founded a church out of frustration.
The highlife singer admitted that his decision to establish Family of Faith and Love Ministries was a miscalculation.
According to him, the pain and frustration he went through in life goaded him to assume the duties of a pastor when he had not been ordained.
“I can say God did not call me to be a pastor; maybe for something else,” he said.
“Only a fool doesn’t change his mind. I know what my strengths are. I don’t feel like writing Gospel music. Gospel is my belief, and I will not change from it. It is a belief I have in God, I won’t change. But I don’t think that God calls everyone to be a gospel singer,” he added.
