GhOne TV has shut down speculations that it has given bubbly actress and television personality Amanda Jissih a boot from her award winning Thursday night show, E-Talk.
The presenter returned to the TV screens last night, Thursday May 5 2016 with the new season of the show as she hosted the only Gospel nominee in the artist of the year collaboration, SP Kofi Sarpong.
Weeks ago, rumours went wild via some blogs and social media that Amanda Jissih who also works with Accra based Hitz FM (a subsidiary of Multimedia Group Limited) had been given the ultimatum to resign from the station and join any of the EIB owned networks. GhOne TV was acquired by Kwabena Duffour and Bola Ray’s EIB Network in October 2015.
The rumour was fueld because the show had been taken off TV screens for 5 weeks with very little information as to why the station arrived at such a decision.
According to the reports, it was highly impossible to serve two masters and that the owners of EIB were not enthused about the situation.
The station in an Instagram post on March 31 2016 revealed the show was officially “going on a short break” and would return with a new and exciting season.
Amanda Jissih’s E-Talk is back on TV and airs every Thursday from 9pm to 10pm.
