Ghana’s Official Qatar World Cup Song Is ‘Wack’ – Samini

Ghanaian dancehall artist Samini has described Ghana’s official Qatar World Cup song as wack.

In a tweet, the musician who has on a number of occasions been connected to the World Cup through music recordings and performances asserted the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and its partners could have done better.

He wrote;

The new development comes after the musician received a lot of bashing on social media about his previous tweet suggesting the GFA could have reached out to him or a few others for a better cheer song.

He also expressed shock that the GFA did not reach out to Kweku Flick who had already released a “joint” which could easily pass as a cheer song for the team.

@KwekuFlick

did the joint already… thot they would have called the young man and just done the right thing. Simple. Maybe this will make sense to you. It’s not about me. It’s the track oooooo Tom. 3ny3 d3 baako s3i. But we go learn am Chale … ok bye”

Ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) outdoored Black Stars (Bring Back the Love), a new song composed by King Promise as the official song for the national team.

The song has since been met with mixed reactions from the citizens.
