The Traditional Council of the Western North has registered its displeasure with TV3, organizers of Ghana’s Most Beautiful over the eviction of its representative Justina Yaa Afrah Donkor.
According to a statement chanced on by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, the SEFWI Wiawso Traditional Council believes the eviction of its representative was a “total cheat and blackmail”.
The full statement reads;
“Western North will communicate to the management of TV 3 to disassociate ourselves from ever participating in the GMB program and all other programs by TV3 for the total cheat and blackmail of our candidate Afrah.
Afrah was 4th on the Voting list and has won best performance on two occasions and best costume for 1 occasion, she has never come up on eviction and was described as the best performance on the day of her eviction so what exactly did they base their assessment on for the eviction?
We congratulate Afrah for making us proud and we will let her know that she is always our Queen. God bless Sefwi.”
Afrah was evicted on Sunday, September 19, 2022, although she gave a splendid performance as a hunter from the Oti Region through an educative rendition of the hunter’s dance in Krachi; its history, significance and meaning.
Watch a snippet of her performance.
