The private burial will be followed by a memorial service on a date yet to be announced.
Lilian, who is well remembered for her contributions towards the recognition of African artists at the BET Awards passed on July 4, 2021, after a short illness.
She will be laid to rest together with her mum Reverend Mrs Faustina Blankson who also passed on July 11, 2021.
The news of Lilian’s passing took the world by surprise as many musicians including Sarkodie, Edem, Kojo Antwi and many others took time to mourn her.
In an interview on Y102.5FM, Sarkodie who often referred to Lilian as ‘Mummy’ stated saying; “As humans, we tend to be selfish (which is normal) thinking we love somebody so they shouldn’t go but we don’t think of what they might be going through. She might be at peace at this point compared to maybe whatever she went through. We don’t know the facts but let’s just say, we are sad but let’s also appreciate that people have to go for them to be okay sometimes so we pray for her soul.”
