Remember this was a live update and as such the tense may look awkward but try and understand.

The biggest night in every Ghanaian musician’s career is currently ongoing at the  Accra International Conference Center and below are the list of winners so far.

Among performances on the night so far are that from Castro, Guru, Bisa K. Dei, MzVee, Sonnie Badu, Okomfor Kwadee, Dasebre Dwamena with MCs Kofi Okyere Darko (K.O.D and Eazzy).

Castro opened the show with a great live band performance.

Gospel song of the year winner O. J takes to the stage and currently performing Ma’y3 s3 mo p3n.  Dressed as an old man just to portray the message of the song. Costume and performance matches.

Herty Borngreat spotted in the crowd dancing to O J‘s Obi Nya Wo Ay3 song.

12:04 AM – More like a throwback now as Gospel music icon Cindy Thompson takes on the stage at the vodafone Ghana Music awards. It’s been a while I saw her perform in Ghana though.

12:07AM: Despite a slow start to her performance, she seems to pick up as audinece takes over the chrous to Anwanwa Do.

12:13AM: And guess who just got unto the big stage, OKOMFOUR KWADEEEEE. Proves the fact that he is back and not mad as other stated.

The auditorium erupts as Okomfour starts Adwoa Y3 me Yere ..

12:19AM: Okomfour doing Ka wonan to so

Next on the bill is Daasebr3 Dwamena, one of Ghana’s most respected highlife musicians.

12:40AM: It’s now time for our Nigerian brethren to take over the stage as Iyanya takes centre stage with Sexy Mama. Energetic performance from the onset with his dancers showing some sexy bodies.

Iyanya making good use of the stage and the spaces available for him. Trying his best as he engages the crowd.

12:48AM: Iyanya dishing one song after the other as he does Kukere. He seems to be shouting though.

And the memorable event unfolds as Elikem d Tailor kneels and proposes to his girlfriend from Big Brother Africa, Pokello. Guess what the response was? Yes I do!! Congrats to both of them.

1:08AM: Two time artist of the year at the Ghana Music Awards and BET award winner makes a very impressive entrance to the stage starting with his tune illuminati. He is clad in his own designs. An all white appearance.

1:19AM: Sarkodie introduces his dance, Sark dance.

1:17AM: Sarkodie introduces Black Avenue Music Artist Joey B as they perform their Christmas banger Tonga.

Sarkodie has bag full of goodies and is unleashing them one after the other. Now performing Adonai Remix featuring Castro off his latest album Sarkology.

Best Female Vocal Performance

Efya makes a record by taking that awards for the fourth consecutive time.

1:35AM: Ahead of the very final batch of awards, Jupitar D General takes on the stage to do his thing with Money a Fi Make.

JupitaR now performing his dancehall Azonto influenced song Wind go down. The transitions to other songs is just amazing as he leaves the stage for Stonebwoy who starts with Onumade.

Characteristic of the dancehall artist, he brings in a different enrgy altogether and never falls short of his own standards.

1:49AM: It seems its time for dancehall artists as Samini bounces on stage and starts the performance with Time bomb. He is indeed a perfomer as he takes a lot of the audience along the performance. He does a throwback by performing his Linda tune.

Samini will not leave the stage until he does his controversial diss track of the Missile Riddim, Scatta Badmind which the entire auditorium seems to sing all along. He is joined on stage by Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku.

Best Rapper of the Year

Sarkodie * Winner He wins it for the 3rd consecutive time.

Best Music Group of the Year

2:08AM: Kwabena Kwabena, the ladies man takes it to them with his silky voice. Now performing his ever popular song Aso.

Kwabena Kwabena’s performance would never have been complete had he not performed the 2013 banger Adult Music featuring Samini.

Gradually gliding towards the end of the awards show as Eazzy announces but not until after a perofrmance from Nigerian artist Davido who starts with Gobe.  He then proceeds to do dash his hit songs Skelewu. He now turns the auditorium into a choir rehearsal ground as the crowd takes over the banger Aye.
