Togolese international footballer Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor has through his Ghanaian friend and Children’s President, Funny Face, extended a helping hand to One Corner hit maker Patapaa.
The footballer who has over the years considered Ghana his home in a live Instagram video announced he is ready to foot the bill of a video shoot by Patapaa who’s relevance in the past year has been unmatched due his hit single One Corner which was accompanied by a somewhat ‘weird dance’ that went viral.
Coming from the back of becoming a centre of mockery after his oversized blue suit worn to the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Accra, Ghana, Adebayor also promised to get him customised suits from world-renowned brand Dolce & Gabbana.
“You be too much, I’ll send Funny Face to get your size. I will send you some Dolce & Gabbana suits. Let them talk, don’t mind. Next show, you’ll go there with Dolce & Gabbana suits…”
Having fallen in love with Patapaa’s music after Funny Face humorously introduced him as Patapeezy, Adebayor in a video said,“Patapeezy, everything for you man. Go and shoot one video clip and I’ll pay for it..”
Funny Face in an interview with www.nydjlive.com disclosed Adebayor fell in love with Patapaa’s music especially One Corner after he danced to it and nicknamed him Patapeezy.
“So my good friend Adebayor was in Ghana few days ago and having watched how I joked and made fun of Patapaa’s music and nicknamed him Patapeezy on Instagram, he asked me who he was. I told him about the musician who somewhat shares a similar story with me; from nowhere to somewhere and he offered to support him. In fact, he’s in love with him already…”
Funny Face has over the years been good friends with the Togolese international Adebayor. In 2012, Adebayor gifted Funny Face with a $160,000 customised Range Rover.
