FOCAP Executives Meet With Japan Embassy To Discuss The Creative Economy
On Wednesday 29th May 2024, the leadership of The Foundation of Concerned Arts Professionals (FOCAP) met with officials of the Japan Embassy in Accra, Ghana to discuss the Creative Economy.
The meeting, according to the executives of the pressure group is part of its 2024 Strategic partnership drive to seek opportunities for the Creative industry.
In an extensive conversation with TERAGAKI Yuriya – First Secretary Information & Culture General, Protocol & Political Affairs for the Embassy of Japan in Ghana and Liberia / Sierra Leone, the parties discussed the many opportunities in the Creative Economy in both countries and the possible partnerships the two could create.
The conversation spanned Cultural Exchanges, Sponsorship of Creative Arts Professionals, Advocacy, Training and Support. According to FOCAP, these fundamental pillars will be the building blocks for the partnership between the two countries.
Over the years, the Japanese Embassy has organised various programs to promote Japanese Culture; The Japanese Cultural Expo, The Speech Contest, and Japanese Calligraphy Exhibitions amongst others in Ghana.
FOCAP, the foremost creative industry advocacy group and creative economy catalyst is on a mission to form the necessary partnerships and alliances to live up to its reputation.
Over the next few months, FOCAP plans to launch a series of training programmes and exchange programs for the creative industry.
