The second edition of the Ghana DJ Awards was held at the National Theatre after 3 hours of delay. Although scheduled to commence at 8pm, the event started around 11:05pm with Yaw Sakyi as MC contrary to earlier hype of Nigerian comedian Klint D Drunk hosting the show.
First to perform was MsVee followed by an off the hook and vibrant performance by Ghanaian dancehall artist Episode, Diamond, Brinna, Aka Songstress, Screech, Galaxy, Hogan, Flowking Stone, Stonebuoy and a host of others.
The biggest winner on the night was Joy fm’s DJ Black who picked up four awards including the most prestigious title, DJ of the year. He maintains the title after winning it last year.
Whereas others may smile, the biggest loser may be DJ Slim of Solid Fm in Kumasi who lost out on all the five nominations he had.
