Crismond Academy Announced As A 2024 Global EduQuality Award Recipient
Considered one of the most prestigious awards among private schools globally, Opportunity International Edufiance has announced Crismond Academy as one of the recipients of the 2024 Global Eduquality Awards.
Crismond Academy was among eight (8) schools from Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, and Ghana, selected as winners of the 2024 Opportunity International Global Eduquality Awards.
Placing third (3rd) among many globally, the award committee reviewed 42 outstanding applications for approaches that both engaged and benefitted the school community, students, and families.
As part of the award, Crismond Academy received a cash prize of one thousand dollars ($1,000), a certificate and a wall plaque for their school. This was presented during an awards ceremony held at the school premises on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Chiefs, educational specialists, directors of education, and parents were in attendance.
Mr. Samuel Opoku, Head Education Specialist, at EduFinance Ghana, explained how the school was selected as a winner.
“This school wrote three development plans in 2024 and implemented them. It is one of the development plans that has won them the award,” he said.
He also hoped the school would continue to be a great centre of excellence.
Located at Asennua, Komire, in the Ashanti Region, Crismond Academy has won the hearts of many in the region for its dedicated service to grooming students and its contribution to the community at large since its establishment in 2011.
Other 2024 winners include Colegio Mano Amiga, Guatemala, and Colegio Luz del Porvenir from the Dominican Republic.
The Opportunity International Global EduQuality Awards (EdQ Awards) program aims to recognize schools most dedicated to advancing high-quality education. Schools are selected regardless of location, available resources, or size. The EdQ Awards focus on identifying the most active, innovative, and committed schools in enhancing the quality of education.
Winning schools are considered centres of excellence among Opportunity International partner schools, embodying several core qualities, including internal leadership, active engagement, passionate and creative teachers, and a collaborative spirit.
