Barely a month after her 69th birthday, mum of Citi FM’s Jessica Opare Saforo, Felicia Opare Saforo has kicked the bucket.
The radio broadcaster and Executive Director of Voice Ova Company made the sad announcement via social media stating “Mom! Thank you for all your sacrifices. You left me today but I know you are in a better place! I’ll always love you. RIP! #HopeNeverDriesUp #BridgeOfHope“
Last child of her parents, Jessica had a very special bond with her mum. She left behind three (3) children.
Tributes have started pouring in from fans, friends and family.
On January 27, Jessica flattered the mum and showered her with praises stressing that, she was lucky to have a mother like her.
The award winning broadcaster said, “You’re 69 years old today and I can only imagine your struggles in raising my siblings and me. Four kids at any point in time is not [an] easy feat. You may think God blessed you with us, but it’s really the other way round. We are lucky to have you”.
She particularly described her faith, which the radio personality obviously has immensely benefitted as infectious.
“You make me want to truly and fully surrender ALL my burdens unto this God you’ve encouraged me to know. You tell me that nothing can prevent you from seeking Him and believing in His word,” the strong-willed presenter observed.
She took advantage of the moment to ask for God’s abundant blessings and longevity for her mom as she turns a year older.
