‘Twice as Tall’, an album by Nigerian Afrobeat star, Burna Boy has won the ‘Best Global Album’ at the 63rd Grammy Award.
In his acceptance speech, Burna Boy said: “Africa is in the house… This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world. This should be a lesson to everyone that no matter where you are and no matter what you plan to do, you can achieve it, no matter where you from. You are a king. Look at me now. Grammy Award-winning Burna Boy.”
Previously known as ‘World Album Category’, Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ was nominated last year but lost out to Angelique Kidjo.
