Black Coffee wins Best International Act, Africa at BET 2016

Black Coffee

Multi-award winning South African record producer and DJ, Black Coffee has been crowned winner of the Best International Act, Africa category at the 2016 BET Awards.

The event was held today at the Staples Centre in LA.

He beat competition from Yemi Alade, Wizkid, MzVee, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz and Serge Beynaud.

Black Coffee becomes the first South African to win a BET Award. Congratulatory messages have since been pouring in from many including fellow contender in the same category Cassper Nyovest.

Missing at the live presentation were Wizkid and Yemi Alade.

Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana better known as Falz also won the Viewers Choice Awards.
