The Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart is a year already!

Since the charts went live on March 29, 2022, a number of talents from the continent have had their music make the list. Dominant among these talents are musicians from the West African country, Nigeria.

Today, we share with you all the songs that went number one and the number of weeks they spent on the chart.

Kelvyn Boy, Nektunez, Black Sherif Make First Ever Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Chart

The chart ranks the 50 most popular Afrobeats songs in the country based on a weighted formula incorporating official streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of leading audio and video music services, plus download sales from top music retailers.

Interestingly, only 6 songs made the number-one spot.

With 30 weeks and still counting, Rema & Selena Gomez continue to sit comfortably at the top spot with their collaborative hit single Calm Down.
