Big Brother Africa: No Room For Couples

We called it, we said Feza would be kicked out and – voila! – she is out.

So it looks as though “operation kill couples” is out in full force. After O’Neal was kicked out last week, it was highly likely that the beauty would follow suit. Feza

Her “bad boy” boyfriend O’Neal was her pillar of strength and so it is probably in her best interests to depart now.

Then again, in a week we will be right at the end of the competition so perhaps her love choices cost her the $300 000 prize money. One of the happiest people to receive the news of Feza’s exit, apart from the remaining contestants, has to be Pokello, with whom she never got along.

WAY TO GO

To all the remaining contestants. It wasn’t easy to stay on. However, Nigeria’s Abigail has sailed through the entire competition with no hiccups at all. She is the only player who has got right to the end of the chase without facing any possible eviction.

WHAT FATE HOLDS

With Elikem doing the obvious and saving himself, he has made an unsuspecting Angelo a target. It is unclear what Africa will do now that we are at the end but it is almost likely he will make it through to the finals. Melvin, Beverly and Cleo may not know it but they will be joining Elikem in the finals. Sadly someone between Angelo, Dillish and Bimp will be kicked off at the possible worst part of the competition.

As usual with Big Brother Africa evictions, no one is quite safe and so we can expect more than one nomination on Sunday.

It was a great season despite disturbing incidents like Nando being disqualified for his penchant for sharp objects. We also liked the idea of having South African presenter Boity Thulo join the show to have us know what’s happening online. Some feel IK’s reign has run its course but the man still knows what he’s doing. The Nigerian presenter has been the best we’ve had by far.

The entertainment acts that we have seen over the weeks, who hail from various African countries, have made eviction nights something to look out for. It is interesting how even when we didn’t understand some of the languages used in the material, we loved the music.

Right now it is hard to tell who will walk away with the 2013 Big Brother Africa title, but it is surely going to be one to watch.
