In the wake of a recent call by Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, Ghana’s Minister of Finance, for the youth to venture into entrepreneurship, rap artist Click Huus has thrown a word of advice at the youth.
The musician and entrepreneur who is credited for a number of hit singles including Eye Red, Ma Sparki, My Style has in an interview with Zionfelix dispelled suggestions that the youth can’t be successful entrepreneurs.
Citing himself as an example, Click Huus who has had a very successful business running for years revealed the Ghanaian youth could be succesful entrepreneurs but had to do away with one thing.
According to him, aside from the financial capital which seems a major headache for a lot of young entrepreneurs, a lot of young people were not trustworthy hence losing out on opportunities.
“A lot of people want to skip the process. They want to cut corners and be successful in the next minute. This doesn’t work right in entrepreneurship. Aside from the financial capital one needs, one needs trust capital, which is equally important. When you’re trusted, people can hand over assets to you to start off your own business without blinnking,” he said.
Click Huus believes there’s a lot of potentials on the ‘streets’ and wants to be a perfect example for them.
He also advised the youth to be trustworthy as that is one of the many requirements of being successful entrepreneurs.
