
Ghanaian child actor Abraham Attah is ready to distribute 10,000 pair of TOM shoes to school children in Ghana after the company honoured its promise to him.
The child star took the world by storm when he appeared at the 88th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles dressed in a black tuxedo and velvet TOMS. The appearance got many talking until he explained the reasons behind the TOMS.
According to Abraham Attah who spoke to E! correspondent Ryan Seacrest, the shoe brand was going to donate 10,000 pairs of shoes to the people of Ghana and that is ready!!
Speaking at a press conference on his return to Ghana, manager of the “Beast of no Nation” star Mawuko Kuadzi told the media the Toms shoes were in Ghana and ready for donation.
He stated that some of the shoes will be given to students of Attah’s former school, Ashiaman Primary and JSS, and also refugees at the Buduburam refugee camp, who were part of the movie, Beasts Of No Nation and other charity homes.
Abraham also thanked Toms for their kind gesture.
“I want to say ‘Thank You’ to Toms for giving me this opportunity to give out 10,000 shoes to give to the needy in Ghana.”
