The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology campus has been declared a security zone effective Tuesday September 3, 2019.
According to a statement sighted by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com and signed by Simon Osei-Mensah, chairman of the Ashanti Regional Security Council, the declaration was a a result of intelligence gathered over attempts by some alumni to instigate “members and students to engage in activities that will disturb academic work and peace on campus.”
The Regional Security Council has therefore issued a strong warning to alumni, students or groups of persons who intend perpetrating any act of indiscipline that could disturb the peace on campus. It has asked any individual, groups of persons with grievances against the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to the appropriate quarters for redress.
