Ghana’s Embassy in Beijing, China, has offered to finance the transportation of the remains of the former Actors Guild President, Nii Odoi Mensah to Ghana.
Speaking with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa, Mr. Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah, Deputy Ambassador said the Embassy would ensure that the remains of Mr. Mensah is brought for a proper burial.
According to him, the initial conflicting costs $28,000 and $68,000 were wrongly reported instead of $25,000 with a reduction of $13,861.40 after the Ghana Embassy in China negotiated with the Hospital administrator.
Ambassador Ankrah noted that per the agreement reached with the Family of the deceased the payment by the Embassy will be refunded by them (Family).
According to him, the amount will cover the hospital bill, the undertaker and other things which need to be done before the body could be transported from China.
Nii Odoi Mensah died on Tuesday April, 12, 2016 while he was undergoing kidney treatment in China, after battling with the disease for some years.
